Nfactor

Is your patient at risk for developing emesis?

The Nfactor Self-Assessment has been developed for use by patients and caregivers to determine an individual’s emetogenic potential, because once a patient knows his/her "nausea factor," he/she can make informed decisions about treatment options. The assessment takes into account type of cancer, course of treatment, agents used and age of patient. We suggest you familiarize yourself with the Nfactor Self-Assessment tool should a patient mention it during an office visit. You may also want to share it with a patient if he/she is not yet familiar with the tool to help facilitate discussions about treatment for emesis. Click here to see the Nfactor Self-Assessment and to familiarize yourself with it.
